Brain Tumor Patient Advocates Share Messages of Hope and Resilience
Patient advocates Adam Hayden and Kimberly Wallgren work tirelessly to support those living with brain and spine tumors. Hayden was diagnosed with a glioblastoma in 2016, and since then he has become a nationally recognized advocate for others with central nervous system (CNS) tumors. Wallgren cared for her late father after he was diagnosed with an ependymoma, and today she is the executive director of the Collaborative Ependymoma Research Network (CERN) Foundation, a program of the National Brain Tumor Society.
